Welcome to the PTA
We have recently introduced a new online communication tool called PTA Social. This has enabled us to communicate more directly with parents and keep them up to date with all the latest news and events. It gives parents an opportunity to volunteer their help in an easy, transparent format. We provide feedback to PTA Social to help them develop the app to enable it to further support our efforts and enable the greatest parent engagement possible. All parents of children at the school automatically become members of the PTA, however, we ask all new parents to please sign up to PTA Social, see link below:
Thank you to everyone who attended the recent PTA meeting. We had another great turnout in March, your support is very much appreciated.
A PTA meeting held before pick up seems to be the best time to suit the greatest number of parents, so we will keep to this arrangement for the foreseeable future.
The PTA AGM was held on Thursday 13th October 2016. This meeting included a short report from the chair and the treasurer, covering what we have achieved during the 2015/2016 academic year: monies raised, projects undertaken and reviewing the fact that we reached all of the targets that we set for ourselves for that year. Targets for this academic year were set and a new PTA Chair was voted in. Huge thanks to Jo Gurney for taking on the role of PTA Chair! Minutes from the PTA AGM will be available to download shortly.
Last Year (2015/16)
The PTA raised £16,800 last year to be spent on our children’s education and the school so thank you to everyone who donated their time and resources to make that possible.
We undertook a number of large projects, including major repairs to the Gazebo, resurfacing the School Hall floor, an overhaul of the internal communal area in KS1 and the installation of artificial grass in the KS1 external area. A huge thanks to everyone who was involved with these projects.
We also supported the school curriculum, provided house coloured sports bibs, supplied cooking equipment for the children, donated £550.00 towards the year 6 leavers gifts, supplied trophies and certificates for running club achievements and maintained and improved the chickens standard of living! Thank you to everyone involved in all of these activities.
Thank you to Karen Stubbings for taking care of the school uniform for another year and to Jackie Smith for continuing to run the weekly tuck shop.
Thank you to our PTA Trustees last year:
Jacks Paton - Secretary
Kelli Dickenson - Treasurer
Rachel Brooks - Chair
Hannah Wilson - Deputy Chair
Welcome to our new Chair - Jo Gurney.
